Renovaplastic
Otoplasty
Surgery for plastic surgery of the auricles ("plastic surgery of the earlobes") is usually performed using local anesthesia in the operating room and takes from 40 to 1.5 hours. However, in the case of surgery in children, it is possible to use general anesthesia. But still, its use is often not recommended, since this operation is quite simple, and intravenous anesthesia is a large load on the body in comparison with local anesthesia. Before the operation, it is necessary to pass general tests, standard when performing any surgical intervention.
The method of ear correction is as follows: an incision is made on the back surface of the auricle, the shape of the ear cartilage is simulated: the cartilage tissue is given the desired, more aesthetically correct shape of the ear and the result is fixed with the help of cosmetic sutures.
At the end of the operation, the patient can go home. A tight bandage is applied to the ears, the first day the cold is used locally. In the first days after surgery, there may be pain in the ear area. Therefore, immediately after otoplasty, the doctor gives detailed recommendations on taking painkillers and antibacterial drugs. The day after the operation, doctors make a dressing and treat the wound. The bandage is replaced by a special pressure bandage (tennis tape) that the patient must wear constantly for 2 weeks.
Sutures are removed 8-10 days after the operation. The doctor conducts a follow-up examination in 1-2 months, by which time the swelling of the auricles completely subsides, and you can see the final result. The scar on the back surface of the auricle subsequently (after 6-8 months) becomes invisible - turns into a thin white line.
